ANNUAL MEETING AND GALA

Sea to Lake, Summit to Sky
Saturday, August 13, 2011

Please join us for the 2011 Annual Meeting and Summer Gala Dinner on Saturday, August 13 under the tent at Squam Lakes Natural Science Center in Holderness.

Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, the Seacoast Science Center, the Mount Washington Observatory, and the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center recently collaborated to create Sea to Lake, Summit to Sky – an innovative new distance-learning science curriculum for New Hampshire middle schools.

Sea to Lake, Summit to Sky combines the resources, reputations, and complementary programs of four leading New Hampshire informal science education centers. Lessons explain real world instances of environmental change here in New Hampshire through astronomical, climatological, geographical, and ecological perspectives. The integrated lessons reach schools via outreach, interactive video-conference presentations, and off-site field trips.
The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. with the Annual Meeting to elect Officers and Trustees, vote on changes to the By-Laws, recognize employee service, and honor retiring board members. There is no charge to attend the Annual Meeting. Members are encouraged to attend. RSVP for the Annual Meeting below or by calling 603-968-7194 or email info@nhnature.org to reserve your seat.

The Common Man will serve a delicious buffet dinner starting at 7:00 p.m. A live auction featuring one exceptional experience from each Sea to Lake, Summit to Sky partner will take place during dinner. Items include:

Kayak Cruise of Little Harbor ($800 Value)
Cocktail Cruise on Squam Lake ($500 Value)
Mount Washington Observatory Tour ($500 Value)
Name an Adopted Star ($1,000 Value)
