Great for families! Children can be active scientific explorers as they use binoculars, search for loons, collect microscopic life, watch live fish, participate in a scavenger hunt, and test their navigational skills. Get on board for a cruise could spark an interest to last a lifetime.

My husband and I really enjoyed the trails and exhibits. It's very family and child friendly. They've done a lot of updates since I had last visited. The animals are neat although we went at a time where many were sleeping. I can't wait until my next visit. The cost of entry is definitely worth it.

We took a squam boat cruise on a pontoon boat. It was extremely enjoyable. Great views, interesting birds, informative commentary. We went on the last trip of the season, October 14, and you had to be prepared for chilly weather. When the boat goes at full speed, the wind is penetrating. The boat has a roof, but it is open air otherwise. The boat has comfortable seats, there is one big step to get in or out, but the staff was helping anyone who needed help. Many elderly visitors were able to participate and had a good time.

Great place to take littles. Lots of hand on activities and fun. Great play ground. Lots of animals though many of them seem to be sleeping every time we go. Fun outdoor place. Bring a picnic or stop at bk down the road.
