Can't say enough about this place. It's fantastic!! If your looking for a place to take the family with animals and a playground and a learning experience. Take them here. It's beautiful. Lots of shade in most places. Loved it.

This is by far one the best not so hidden gems of Central New Hampshire! While it functions similarly to a zoo the goal of the facility is to rehabilitate and care for local animals found in the white mountains fo NH. The animals who stay are there for medical or other legitimate reasons to keep them from living in the wild and are given wonderful care. The staff that works there is knowledgable and kind, eager to answer any questions about the animals you may have. The path to see all the animals is fun and equivalent to many easy day hikes with spots to picnic, and a wonderful play/learning area for the young and young at heart. It is a place my family loves to visit time and time again, never getting board of the wonderful animals, new things to learn, and great day that always ensues.

We came here with our three kids who are 2, 3, and 5. The trail was relaxing and easy, even for little toddler legs and two adults who don't work out consistently. The animals all looked healthy and well taken care of. Their habitats were very impressive. Glad we came and will go again in the future.

I have enjoyed visiting this amazing place for 30 years. Great hands on educational experience for all ages. I especially like bringing guests to learn about the New Hampshire wildlife, flora, fauna and geology. Keep up the good work.

Great small zoo / science center with wildlife that's native to New Hampshire. Great place to visit with kids as well.
