I love this place! It's like a zoo. You see different creatures and read little cool facts about New Hampshire's wild life on the way of the paths you walk. But, it's not only just all walking, you could also visit the play ground they have so your kids could have fun and a educational time.
It was nice to visit. However , the price is high yet I understand why. They are a nonprofit and need the money. I do wish they had a post up talking about the animal in the exhibit. For example the 3 legged fisher. I would of liked to of learned more about them. Is there a sight online to learn about them. Some stuff was closed but is understandable.
Its always fun to come here!! This time we came in the afternoon and it was a little hot. Not all the animals were out but it was still a great time! Barred owl, deer, black bear and mountain lions to name a few! They did a great job incorporating social distancing without taking too much from the experience.
This is a place that is really good for family fun. There are animals and birds for kids to see. There are also trails for hiking fun. If you are going to include a hiking trip for your visit with seniors or younger kids, don't choose the Mt. Fayal trail. It's a good trail for adults but not for all... Pick a sunny day to visit... I did have great fun here.....
All three generations of our family enjoyed the whole place! It is so well thought out and put together. I figured our young kids would be most interested in the real live animals, but all the educational exhibits were so well thought out and interactive, the kids actually spent more time learning from the exhibits then watching the animals in front of them. That's how engaging and well done they were! Beautiful place as well, and so nice and shaded for an easy walk for all. The natural playground in the middle was thoroughly enjoyed and well placed to get some energy out midway through the learning path. I highly recommend this place.
