Loved this place when I was seven and love it still. It's only gotten better, while keeping a lot of the charming natural interactive pieces that I remember. Even now I had a lot of TIL moments. We went when it was raining so it was pretty quiet, and all of the animal enclosures have covered areas so we didn't even get too wet. Animals looked healthy and calm as well.

Definitely worth a stop to see all the cool critters if you're in the area. Very informative, stroller friendly, picnic area and, of course, a gift shop.

Squam Lakes Natural Science Center should be added to everyone's maps, there is something special about it, and you can feel it as soon as you enter. A great place to take the kids to learn about nature and wildlife. & Their lake tours are on one of the most celebrated & scenic spots in New Hampshire.
